Building In Restoration from the Start
From the beginning, the Stibnite Gold Project was designed with environmental restoration in mind. At Perpetua Resources, we know restoring the land and sourcing critical minerals for our country are goals that can exist in harmony. Revenue from mining funds restoration, allowing both to move forward together.

From Past to Present
Stibnite was mined on and off for more than a century—much of it before environmental standards existed. When operations stopped, what remained was abandoned infrastructure, legacy waste, and disrupted ecosystems. A few million dollars was spent on restoration in the 1990s, but it wasn’t enough to address the scale of the damage. Today, the site requires a modern, comprehensive response—one that no previous operator proposed or delivered.
From Impact to Opportunity
The Stibnite Gold Project is designed to address these impacts directly—pairing mining with restoration work that begins early and continues throughout the life of the project.
Rebuilding the River System
A 0.9-mile fish passage tunnel will reconnect the river before mining begins, with plans to restore a natural channel long-term.
Removing and Securing Legacy Waste
Millions of tons of historic mine waste will be relocated and stored in a modern, lined facility to prevent further contamination.
Engineering for Recovery
At Blowout Creek, an engineered rock drain and rebuilt stream channel will stop sediment at the source and allow wetlands to recover.

Environmental Outcomes
At Stibnite, restoration is designed as a permanent solution—built to perform for generations and supported by long-term monitoring and accountability. To-date, Perpetua has provided $160 million to guarantee this work takes place.
