Members of Midas Gold’s Boise team, Ken Assmus, Todd Drage, Sam Reid and Jeff Root, participated in the Idaho Museum of Mining and Geology’s “Rock Party” event on Sunday September 14. In addition to the many other hands-on activities for kids, the Midas Gold team conducted a fossil hunt. Everybody got their own bag of phosphate fossils that they could search through and identify different types of shells, shark teeth, coral and other fragments from the ocean floor from more than 15-20 million years ago.
More than 600 people attended the event and more than 240 kids came to the Midas Gold booth to collect their treasures. We are already looking forward to next year’s event.
